Easter is almost here and it's the best time to spend time with the family, which is the perfect reason to get outside and take yourself on an adventure to explore some of the UK’s scenic routes.

We always underestimate what the UK has to offer, we are a country that’s rich in history (just like us) with some gorgeous landscapes you just haven’t experienced yet.

From historical walks to steep peaks, we have put together a
guide for you, as sock experts we know what you should be wearing and why you
need to go on a day hike. It’s your time to make some memories you will never
forget and breathe the fresh air.

3.5 miles – Easy

One of the most iconic circular walks filled with history. This moderate stretch of Hadrian’s Wall offers unforgettable views of the Northumberland countryside, walking aside an almost 2,000 year old standing wall is a unique experience.

Why go: Culture, a short walk, and the chance to walk in Roman footsteps.

Perfect for long, steady walks and cooler temperatures.

6.9 miles - Hard

This one is the most popular in the Lake District, it’s not rated hard for its distance, but more because of the challenging route. This climb doesn’t just offer stunning views that make it exhilarating but the fact that it’s a ridge route with exposed ridges, gives you that accomplished feeling.

Why go: The rugged mountain will give you that adrenaline buzz and a challenge (we only advise in good weather conditions, so this might just be your last chance this year).

The ¾ Crew is perfect for wearing with low cut boots and shorts, with overfoot ventilation for full breathability on steep climbs

7 miles - Moderate

To some that may not know, the Yorkshire Dales dates back to the last Ice Age and this walk makes you feel like you are really there. Gordale Scar and Malham Cove is a longer hike that features towering limestone cliffs and is no wonder its one of the most impressive geological features in England.

Why go: It’s like stepping into another world and was a famous film destination for Harry Potter.

5.5 miles - Moderate

An area of outstanding natural beauty, the fell walk towers over the small town and lake of Coniston, for a steady climb and panoramic views this is a perfect hike during our last few long summer days or even to catch the sunset.

Why go: Panoramic views that don’t require a steep climb.

For a looser nonrestrictive fit and perfect for cooler, cloudy days.

6.5 miles - Moderate

We are all racing to the Peak District, and for good reason, this Mam Tor walking route is also great for families to take a few breaks and admire the views. Also known as the ‘Shivering Mountain’ it’s the place for a photo with some of the best Peak District landscape photography.

Why go: Accessible for all abilities and is an iconic photo moment.
