From a 5km “Race for Life” stroll to the Transpennine 100km challenge
Bridgedale socks are amazing. I received a pair of “Trail diva” socks for Christmas three years ago and have not looked back. I don’t know how I got through life before that time. I don’t know if it’s the fit, the design or the materials that make the sock but suspect it’s a perfectly engineered combination of all three.
I started participating in charity events abour four years ago and have
just build up distance incredibly. I can only say I couldn’t have done
it without my good Bridgedale socks..
I started with a 5km Tesco Race for Life stroll and recently completed the 100km London2Brighton challenge via a Shine half marathon, two full marathon Moonwalks and a 50km Thames Path Challenge among others.
I’m very proud of my London2Brighton result: We have raised over £1200 … There were 1760 entrants … 1349 completed the challenge …. Dennis and I finished at position 510 or in top 38% of finishers. What and where next? The Transpennine 100km challenge, that’s where!
I’ve raised thousands of other pounds being part of teams raising money for
Cancer Research UK, Breast Cancer Care, the Prostate Project, War Child and soon the National Autistic Society.
What challenge next??? Any suggestions?
(Thank you very much for your socks!! Thank you also for taking care of
the woman with large thin feet, I’ve never had socks that fit my feet
PS: I just thought… At 8am on 22 June I start the Transpennine challenge, a 100km walk from Manchester to Sheffield. I’m walking to raise funds for the National Autistic Society hoping to complete within 24hrs as I did the London2Brighton challenge. This time Bridgedale Trekker’s will be my sock of choice!
If you wanted to sponsor me that would be just awesome:
