Britain on Foot “hot foots” to the Keswick Mountain Festival
The annual Keswick Mountain Festival sponsored by Dare2b, which runs from 15th – 19th May in Cumbria, has teamed up with Britain on Foot to help get more people active outdoors.
The Keswick Mountain Festival strives to inspire visitors to get out into the great outdoors and offers a varied range of activities for beginners who are looking to try something new to enthusiasts who are looking for their next challenge. The Festival aims to showcase the beautiful and stunning landscapes of the Lakeland Fells, with activities and challenges that can be enjoyed by everyone, with something for all ages and abilities.
Britain on Foot is a national campaign with one clear objective – to encourage more people in Britain to get active outdoors. This could mean walking to work, hillwalking, geocaching with the family, trail running or even mountaineering. Britain on Foot (BoF) has the potential to make an enormously positive impact on the health and wealth of the nation, by simply getting more of the public active!
The festival along with BoF Partner HI-Tec and supported by The Lake District National Park volunteers are giving visitors the chance to get active outdoors for free and offering four different “Britain on Foot” guided walks in the fells aimed at beginners.
There will also be a Britain on Foot stand in the main marquee, where visitors can show their support and talk to one of the Britain on Foot volunteers from HF Holidays and be in with a chance to win one of three “Walking Kits” drawn daily with a multitude of great prizes including; Bridgedale’s CoolFusion TrailBlaze socks, walking boots supplied by Hi-Tec, a Berghaus Rucksack. An aannual Getaway membership of Ordnance Survey’s digital mapping software, a woman’s Shewee device, an exclusive Britain on Foot Buff and much more… To be in with a chance to win one of these three walking kits and to find out more about Britain on Foot visit the BoF stand.
