Bridgedale socks are the best!
I just returned from a 6 week climbing expedition in Baffin island. We put up a new big wall route on mt Thor and had a great time.
I tried a pair of smart wool socks the week before my trip as someone gave me a pair. After a day of wearing them, my legs were tired and quite sore.
The following day I bought a handful of new brigdale for my trip. I had two pairs of the summit socks a pair of trekker and some ankle socks. I wore them for about two weeks straight at a time.
Bridgedale are hands down the best socks. They are ‘self-cleaning’ (as much as one could expect) extremely comfortable, the durability is unmatched. No pilling, no cardboard finish after weeks of wear, no serious loft collapse.
I wore them through river crossings, in sandals, in Mountian boots on the wall and approach shoes and rock shoes on technical terrain.
In total they got used for 200+km of hiking with 100lb+ packs, 20 days of climbing and living on the wall, for a total of 45 days.
I can’t say enough good things. Please keep making the best socks.
