Bridgedale Kindred Spirit in Antarctica.
Bridgedale is delighted to announce their Kindred Spirit partnership signing with polar explorer, Dixie Dansercoer.
Dixie is not only an explorer, but also an endurance athlete, having held records for high altitude mountain biking, windsurfing and ultramarathon running. In 2012, after four years preparation and 74 intense days on the ice Dixie broke the world record for the longest unassisted and non-motorized expedition in Antartica.
Steve Fowler, MD Bridgedale says, “We have worked with Dixie for many years and we are delighted to sign with Dixie which now brings our polar explorer count up to two. With more than 18 years expedition experience Dixie knows the risks when exploring in temperatures of -40degree C and has for many years relied on Bridgedale to keep his feet warm, dry and comfortable. Dixie’s combined skills both as a polar explorer and an endurance athlete as well as his love for our WoolFusion Summit socks make him a perfect Bridgedale Kindred Spirit”
For his expedition work Dixie chooses Bridgedale’s WoolFusion® technology which uses EnduroWool wrapped with Endurofil technical fibre to deliver unsurpassed levels of insulation, moisture management and durability thus ensuring feet remain dry and comfortable day after day whatever the adventure.
Dixie says ‘I’m delighted to have joined Bridgedale as a Kindred Spirit Partner. During my polar travels and adventures I rely on the comfort and durability of Bridgedale socks – they protect my feet and ensure that they are kept warm and comfortable throughout my journey – just like wearing little sleeping bags on your feet!”
Bridgedale’s are the ideal choice for travelers, hikers and explorers in the wildest, highest and coldest places of this planet.
